How to Be the Best Version of Yourself Through Food

Healthy and adequate nutrition is an important prerequisite for becoming the best version of yourself. When you eat healthily, you’ll be more energetic and have less cravings for fat and sugar. This makes working out easier, making you look and feel even better! What’s not to love, right?

HOW TO START

It is important to start your day well with a hearty breakfast. Make sure to take enough time, because you don’t want to rush it. Taking the time for breakfast also makes it less likely that you will make unhealthy choices during the rest of the day.

You can easily prepare food by, for example, taking two pieces of toast with an egg and some protein, such as bacon or ham. Add salt and pepper and you’ll have a breakfast that will provide you with energy for the rest of the day. If you choose boiled eggs, you can also prepare them in advance by boiling 10 eggs on the weekend, for example.

CONTINUE IN THE AFTERNOON

A lot of people get that well-known dip in the afternoon. This is a dangerous part of the day, as many choose to eat something sweet, like a piece of cake or chocolate. Once you have started this, it is also a lot harder to stop.

The disadvantage of such a small snack is that they often cause a short peak in your energy level. This peak lasts a little while and will only increase the dip that follows. If you’re still craving a snack, choose a protein bar, that you can find in the supermarket. They’re healthy and will immediately make you feel fuller.

But what is the best thing to do? Take food from home and eat it in the afternoon. It may help to reserve a few hours on the weekend to prepare your meals for the whole week. This way, you don’t have to go into the kitchen every evening to prepare food for the day after.

TO FINISH

We’ll conclude with dinner, which again offers you an opportunity to make smart choices. For example, choose cauliflower rice instead of normal rice, cottage cheese instead of mayonnaise, and zucchini spaghetti instead of normal spaghetti or pasta. This really limits your calorie intake.

If you don’t have a lot of time, you can also use the previously provided tip. Prepare food for several days, so that you don’t spend half an hour every evening preparing dinner. Plus, you’ll be less inclined to make unhealthy choices!
