Other Types of Intermittent Fasting

In addition to time-based fasting, there’s also 5:2 calorie restricted fasting. This is where you choose specific days to limit the number of calories you consume. For example, you can choose to consume 600 calories on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Then on the other weekdays and the weekend, you’ll consume your usually number of calories.

This method is often preferred by people who can’t or choose not to go on long periods without eating. What’s also great about this method is that you can switch the days around to accommodate special events that involve food.

While there are different types of Intermittent Fasting from which to choose, what you should always avoid is overeating. 

Intermittent Fasting certainly isn’t a license to consume as much food as you can. In fact, doing so can defeat the purpose of fasting. Instead, you want to eat within moderation. The good thing is that you don’t have to deprive yourself of the foods you enjoy as long as you don’t enjoy eating junk food all day long.
