As indicated before, an afternoon walk is recommended. Take a walk in the afternoon with a colleague and you will feel a lot fitter after lunch. If this is not possible, you can also ask your employer for a sit-stand desk. You can adjust the height of the desk, so you can also work standing up.
This is not only good for your own health, but it can also be a pleasant experience for other people standing at your desk. They don’t have to kneel or bend down to look at your screen.
A second solution is, for example, a deskbike. These are bikes that you can put under a raised desk, so that you can also let your legs do some work, while working. Even though this is not ideal when you are typing, it is great when you are on a conference call, for example.
